Rigid Light-Carbon

Innovation and Action

Rigid Light-Carbon is a new carbon-fiber composite using INOAC's proprietary foam technology that is contributing in fields that require rigidity and light weight.

Compounding technology, molding technology and foam technology

Features

Freedom of shape

Forming in the pressing process makes it possible to supply carbon-fiber composites with superior product-forming stability and mass producibility.

Lightweight

Sandwiching a special foam as an intermediate material reduces the amount of carbon fiber that is used and makes it possible to provide lighter composites.

Variable wall thickness

Free forming thicknesses are made possible by changing the thickness of special foam. Simultaneous forming of insert nuts is also possible.

Incombustibility, flame retardancy

Compounding technology is used to achieve non-combustibility and flame resistance.- UL-94 flammability testing: Equivalent to “V-0” certificationMaterial flammability Test for Railway Vehicles: Nonflammable

X-ray transparency

Composites with good x-ray permeability are made possible through the use of materials with good x-ray permeability.
